Tour Description/Daily Itinerary:

 

This tour is a First-Class Tour that visits all the popular sites of Ireland. There are 2 nights of entertainment and you even spend a night in a castle hotel!

 

DAY 1 - Fly to Dublin
Fly on your own to Dublin, Ireland. (Inflight Meals)

DAY 2 - Dubin Touring
After arriving in Dublin we drive through Dublin and arrive at The Guinness Storehouse, located in the heart of the Guinness Brewery. The highlight of the visit is a pint of Guinness in the Gravity Bar with a magnificent view of this 1000 year old city. We check into our hotel and have time to rest. Before our included dinner we enjoy a welcome drink. Mont Clare Hotel — Dublin (D)

DAY 3 - Dublin Touring
After breakfast we enjoy a panoramic drive around the major sites. We visit Trinity College where we see the incredible Book of Kells. This is one of Ireland’s dearest treasures. We visit St Patrick’s Cathedral. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore on our own. This evening we enjoy a Traditional Irish dinner with entertainment at the Merry Ploughboys. DAY 4 - Waterford
We travel through the beautiful Wicklow Mountains and visit Glendalough, the ruins of a beautiful 6th Century monastery. After lunch on our own, we continue the journey to Waterford. Along the way we visit the Famine Ship Dunbrody in New Ross. Granville Hotel — Waterford (B,D)

DAY 5 - Middleton, Blarney Castle, Killarney
Traveling west, we stop in Midleton Distillery before traveling on to Blarney Woolen Mills for shopping and the Blarney Castle for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone. After lunch on our own, we continue on to Killarney where we stay 3 nights. Killarney Plaza Hotel — Killarney (B,D)

DAY 6 - Ring of Kerry Touring
After a full Irish breakfast we travel out around the “Ring of Kerry”. The roads are narrow and the views so spectacular the journey will be a memorable one. We enjoy many photo stops along the way. We visit the Kissane Sheep Farm where we see how the well trained dogs bring the sheep down from the mountain. We return to Killarney. After our included dinner we can stroll the quaint streets of Killarney or perhaps enjoy some traditional music at a pub. Killarny Plaza Hotel — Killarney (B,D)

DAY 7 - Jaunting Car, Dingle Peninsula
This morning, we meet our Jarvey for a horse and jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park. Then we board our motorcoach for our journey out onto the Dingle Peninsula. We explore the incredible beauty of the Dingle and return to Killarney later this afternoon The rest of the day is free to explore Killarney on our own. Killarney Plaza Hotel — Killarney (B)

DAY 8 - Adare, Bunratty Folk Park, Medieval Banquet
We depart and travel to the picture postcard village of Adare, which is one of Ireland’s special places, with thatched roof cottages and Tudor style houses, beautiful gardens and ivy clad medieval churches in beautiful surroundings on both sides of the street beside the river Maigue.We visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. This 11th-century castle has been restored to its former medieval glory. In the surrounding area is a folk park where we can see people working as they would have in the 1800’s. We enjoy a Medieval banquet and entertainment this evening. Bunratty Castle Hotel – Bunratty (B,D & entertainment)

DAY 9 - King John's Castle
Today we drive into Limerick for a visit of King John's Castle. The castle was built between 1200 and 1210. It was repaired and extended many times over the following centuries. King John’s Castle remains a most impressive Anglo Norman fortification. It retains many of the pioneering features which made its construction unique for its day. Its massive gatehouse, battlements and corner towers await exploration ! Features include a 13th Century Anglo - Norman Castle with panoramic views of Limerick City, the River Shannon and surrounding countryside. The visitor centre contains an imaginative historical exhibition, which recounts the history of the castle in dramatic fashion.A special treat awaits us as we overnight at Barbarstown Castle. DAY 10 - Flight Home
We transfer to the Dublin airport and our flight home (B)

Kate Scopetti, Mid-Atlantic Tours and Receptive Services

Kate graduated from Florida State University, Tallahassee, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduation she began her career in the Travel Industry working in the hotel business. Kate worked her way up through a variety of service positions, including Food & Beverage Manager, Sales Manager, and Director of Sales. In two years she was promoted to Vice-President of Marketing within the same hotel company. She was responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing for eight (8) hotels located throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. These hotels operated independently and under a variety of franchise flags.

In 1992 Kate began a hotel marketing strategy of packaging tours to the Tour & Travel Industry. A year later, due to the success of the packaging marketing campaign, Kate started an affiliate tour company for the parent hotel company. This company grew to nearly two-million dollars in revenue by 1996.

In 1997, Kate’s accomplishment and knowledge in the Tour & Travel Industry led to forming her own company, Mid-Atlantic Receptive Services, as a Wholesale Tour Operator featuring destinations within the Mid-Atlantic region and catering to the service needs of the Tour & Travel Industry.  Kate is proud of Mid-Atlantic Tours & Receptive Service’s reputation for providing top-notch service and value to its customers from around the world.

In 2005, Kate formed a partnership with Travel Alliance Partners. With this exciting enterprise, Mid-Atlantic Tours & Receptive Services now offers a variety of enjoyable and adventurous tours, domestic and worldwide.
